Conversational Skills & nonverbal Intelligence

Learn to understand your own non-verbal impact, employ conversational skills for better connections, overcome resistance, and use influence techniques.

In this training, we turn everything around. We focus on your own non-verbal impact, the way you communicate, and how you can optimize your communication skills. This training requires a high level of reflection, so you must be willing to be open to a certain form of group coaching. The groups are intentionally kept small, between 6 to a maximum of 8 participants.

Program Overview:

This training consists of three classroom days at one of our locations. Prior to the training, a one-on-one online intake interview is conducted to capture your non-verbal profile and discuss the training objectives.

Day 1:

  • Introduction to create trust and safety within the group.
  • Workshop on non-verbal profiling to provide context on how your non-verbal impact is analyzed.
  • Joint analysis of video footage to understand how others perceive you.
  • Refresher workshop on communication and conversation techniques, challenging existing perceptions.

Day 2:

  • Exploration of influence techniques, handling resistance, and the impact of personal context such as psychology, psychopathology, and substance use on non-verbal behavior.
  • In-depth coverage of situational awareness and self-reflection.
  • Explanation of a homework assignment.

Day 3:

  • Discussion of the homework assignment.
  • Refinement of learning objectives for the afternoon session (working with a training actor) to ensure focused achievement of your goals.

This training is suitable for anyone looking to increase their own non-verbal impact, better understand others, or communicate more confidently and effectively. A willingness for a high degree of self-reflection and being coached by the trainer and the group is a requirement. Additionally, this training is also part of the Non-Verbal Profiler and Investigative Interviewer training, based on our three-pillar methodology, set to launch in 2025.

General Learning Objectives:

  • Gain insight into your own non-verbal impact and (un)conscious communication strategies.
  • Introduction to the INSA method: Learn what behavior types reveal about your interaction needs and behavior under stress and comfort.
  • Use conversation skills and interventions confidently by aligning with the unconscious perceptual world of conversation partners.
  • Strengthen your own insight and overview in interactions with others.
  • Understand how you come across to others and adjust accordingly.
  • Knowledge about the impact of psychological and psychopathological effects on non-verbal behavior.
  • Learn to handle resistance and employ influence techniques based on your personal profile.

We look forward to welcoming you to our Conversational Skills & Non-Verbal Intelligence training!
